My brother John has been writing and singing songs for many years, but yesterday he performed an impromptu song at a lecture at Bradford University, where he's working on an MA in Peace Studies. The lecture was about economics in Africa, and the song was instead of a more conventional presentation. Despite being a bit off-the-cuff, it looks like it went over well - the university posted this video on youtube and John was interviewed by BBC Radio Leeds!
John has appeared in a lot of my comics (some long-haired, guitar-playing examples below).
I also found this old page from the drawing book (1998 or '99?). These days, John's in England, but for many years, he was definitely my closest companion, as this tale tells. You may be interested to notice that this comic strip is in French. I was quite surprised to discover that myself. It's probably because John & I had a long-standing habit of speaking to each other in (really bad) French (long story). I'm just surprised I was able to write this whole page. Maybe I consulted somebody. I certainly couldn't do it now!
