Our Partners

We'd like to say thanks to the following people and organizations who are helping us to put on our event:

Double Elle Bakery

Picture

Leah Layden's homestyle bakery opened right here on 23rd Avenue not too long ago, but already Double Elle Bakery is a neighbourhood necessity. (Oatmeal bread... cinnamon buns... need I say more?)

Calgary 2012

Picture

Calgary 2012
is an independent, non-profit organization that helps showcase Calgary’s culture and create legacy projects to encourage future cultural achievements.

The goals of the organization are to raise awareness of the richness of Calgary’s cultural assets, empower cultural celebration and partici- pation in every community in Calgary, to build a stronger sense of identity and have local and national impact.

They're one block away on 24th Avenue, but we are happy to have them as part of our celebration! (photo credit here)

Cultural Capitals of Canada

Picture

The Cultural Capitals of Canada is a program administered through Canadian Heritage. The objective of the program is to stimulate sustained community support of arts and culture. It recognizes and supports Canadian communities that have a record of harnessing the many benefits of arts and culture in community life. Calgary was designated as a Cultural Capital of Canada in October 2011.

We gratefully acknowledge the con- tributions of Calgary 2012 and the Cultural Capitals of Canada to our project.

tnik

Nicole from tnik on 22nd Avenue will be there with hot drinks just in case it's a chilly day. And really... hot tea on a September day is wonderful even if it's not chilly!

find it

We're excited that our event will be marketed by find it: Pop-Ups in Inglewood & Ramsay, a new group that’s dedicated to marketing and producing unexpected arts and culture events in Inglewood and Ramsay. find it was responsible for the recent surprise outdoor opera performance on the top of Scotsman's Hill, in partnership with Cowtown Opera (that was awesome!), as well as the New Street Spoken Word Safari. To find out what these guys will come up with next, take a look at their site: www.finditcalgary.ca.

Summit Signs

This longtime Ramsay business with a close connection to 23rd Avenue contributed to our event by providing our signs and our new community signboard at Double Elle Bakery!

Ramsay Community Association

The RCA says: "As a board we support helping community members get together and have a good time!" Thanks for helping us out with this project!
