I've been wanting to start an art/writing blog for years. I did work for a while creating my website, www.thedrawingbook.com. There is a lot to see there, but it's more of an image gallery, and not really set up for easy frequent updates about new stuff.
This didn't really bother me much, since, for a while there, I didn't have any work-related news to share, anyway. I was too busy being a new mama! But now, my son is three, and I actually have a bit more time to do some work again. So I'm looking forward to posting some updates about that stuff, here.
Where is all this happening? I'm lucky to live in Calgary, Canada, a city that's been around for 100 years, but still feels like it's going places. In fact, in some ways it feels like it's just getting started, and that's part of the reason I like being here - it's kind of exciting to think that I can be part of this generation's contribution to what the city will become. Well, we'll start with some updates about my current contributions and see where this goes! -sh
